The Flatiron Building
Designed by Chicago architect and 1893 World Columbian Exhibition designer Daniel Burnham, the Flatiron was an architectural marvel upon its completion in 1902. Among New York's first steel skeleton structures, the building has since become wholly iconic in no small part thanks to its eponymous shape. It's built in the Chicago-style of skyscraper construction, with a clear base, middle, and top, and is encrusted with Beaux-Arts ornamentation.
